TS 6100 - concerning ink consumption

Hi,

 

I have recently purchased a pixma TS6100 and unfortunately the ink consumption levels are rather high. I'm wondering if you could help me on this. Right now this printer and canon starts feeling like a scam...

 

During the past month I have only been printing b6w documents and selecting the black and white option from my mac in the printer dialogue. I have printed around 100 (max 200) pages and the first cartridge that needs to be changed is one of the colour ones... All other colour ones are below the blacks. How's that possible and how to fix that?

 

The other aspect is the very high consumption level. For some reason canon is not allowing me to select a draft option when printing - how's that possible and how to override that so less ink is used?

 

I have been in contact with technical support in Sweden and unfortunately they send odd explanations on how to turn off a printer (among others) but don't seem interested at all in solving the issue with high ink consumption...

printer not even printing

I have and MG3620 and it will print but nothing shows up on paper. If I print from either MAC PRO or if I print from my Androind. It shows the printer printing and complete. Nothing on paper. Even when I run tests it thinks its printed and ok. There is no option to say no it printed but nothing is on the paper. My ink is about 1/2 full using canon ink. This just starting happening yesterday. Any suggestions ? Thanks

MX922 not responding

We are having increasing problems with our MX922 not responding to print requests lately. All settings are verified as far as network connection (we can see it on our modem as a device that is hooked up) everything looks fine for the LAN connection on the printer itself. I have restarted my computer, we have turned the printer on and off..... nothing. Worked fine the other night when my kiddo wanted to print pictures, won't work when I'm trying to get my job done (of course!)

Canon MP960 - printing alternating lines in green and black

My Canon MP960 Printer is printing alternating lines in black then green (one line black then two lines green). I have tried deep cleaning and head aligning and even cleaned both the bottom plate and the roller. When I print the nozzle pattern it looks like this. Can you please recommend a next step?Nozzle pattern

MX920 airprint scanner not working, printer works

Scanner gives error message that "Scanner is turned off, USB cable is disconnected, check again, scanner driver will be closed, 2.156.0"  I have rebooted router, turned printer off and on, restarted computer, checked all cables.  Airprint is working fine.  Scanner was working just fine this week.  Please advise.

To avoid having to deep clean printer heads frequently, how often should I print something?,

I have a Pixma G-2000, but I suspect this occurs with any bottle printer. My experience with having to deep clean twice tells me I am using a lot of ink, so it's cheaper to just print something frequently. How often is enough to avoid deep cleaning?

MG2520 printer issue

I am setting up a new MG2520 printer and once paper loaded I got a flashing yellow light just below the start button. Not sure what that means. I only have a black ink cartridge added and wonder if I need the color cartridge also.

TR 4520 - Print job won't cancel

I ran out of paper during a print job, and now the printer is stuck on that print job. It won't print, won't cancel. I'm using a PIXMA TR 4520. We've only had it for three months. I'm not sure if there's a way to reboot the system?

MX922 won't print text.

My MX922 has worked fine for a few years. It recently started spitting out blank sheets fo paper when print jobs are sent from either of the two different computers ( both Windows 10) on the network, one connected to the printer by USB and the other wirelessly. Copier printing in black does not work either. The ink cartidges have been checked for ink supply and they are fine. Test pages all print fine.

 

When you send a print job or copy a page, regardless of how much text is on a page, the printer spits out a completely blank page whithout the slightest hesitation at any point.  You cannot hear the print head move at all. 

 

I've been using the pattern print test page to keep the system "wet" between uses.  When printing a test page does it also use (test) the pigment based ink as well as the dye based ink?  If the pigment based ink supply is not used in the test, could it be drying out between uses?

 

In all cases, printing or copying, how can I print text (documents) again?

Canon Pixma MG6650 Error message 1403

My 4 year old printer has now become a victim of the dreaded 1403 'Incorrect print head fitted'  error message, so the saga continues, clearly Canon are happy for this problem to run and run.   I have tried various on line solutions all to no effect so I contacted Canon custamer service who informed me that the printer would have to be returned for repair.  That would mean no printer avalable for at least a week.  The adviser agreed with me that the cost of the repair could well exceed the cost of a new printer so I told the adviser that I would do what they do on You Tube,  take it outside and jump up and down on it and never buy a Canon product again.  I have now replaced it with an Epsom.

Scanner stopped working MG6320

Hello,

 

I have MG6320 printer set up wireless using the WiFi with Mac OS10.14.2 Mojave. The printer always works but the scanning stopped working yesterday all of sudden...using IJ Scan Utility. The printer selection doesn't appear on the scanner selection pannel either.

 

I don't know how to fix this issue and I prefer not to connect USB cable. 

 

Does anyne know hot to fix it? Please let me know.

Cannon MX 922 will not connect to new network

I have a cannon mx 922. Using windows 10 OS.

 

This printer was previously connected to a home network that has now been changed. 

 

I attempted to set up a new wireless connection however when I get to the step when asked to select which network to connect to it does not give me an option to enter a passphrase and attemtps to connect to the access point unsuccessfully

 

I have attempted uninstalling the printer and re-installing without success

odd pattern of missing lines in print head test

This is a print head test pattern from a Pixma MG5520. The top half of every other column of PGBK is missing lines. The other colors were OK. The stuff in the Cyan color print test is just from gunk on the glass of the scanner bed. I already tried removing the print head and checking the connectors. There was no gunk in the connectors. I tried having the printer run the head cleaning procedure a few times. Still I get this pattern of missing lines in the print head test pattern. Is this print head no good now?

Multiple Google Accounts - MX492

We're considering buying an MX492.  We have 4 Chromebooks belong to 4 different family members, all with different Google accounts.  By reading the user's manual, it appears to me only one Google account can register the printer, and if another account wants to use it, we have to deregister and reregister each time.  Is this correct?

Error 1485

I have a MG2522 printer. I recently in stalled new ink cartridges. They worked fine when I first put them in now I am getting an error code 1485 saying that they are not compatible. I checked and they are the correct ones.

IP 2770 Paper Jam

Hi! I have a Canon iP 2770 Printer and it keeps on sending me Paper Jam errors. The Stop/ Resume button keeps on flashing. I've tried everything and there is no paper or anything stuck inside but the error won't stop. Can this be a sensor defect? Any help is very much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Had Error - Fixed. Now prints blank pages

In order to fix an error on my MG5620 I had to run an alignment test. I ran the test but only a blank page showed up after it went through the motion of printing. I have done nozzle cleaning and deep cleaning as well. Still, not printing. Ink levels full.

 

What can I do to fix this?
